Which files should I include in a mold component RFQ?
Include a dimensioned 2D drawing and matching 3D model where possible. Upload PDF or ZIP files, up to 3 files and 20 MB per file. Package STEP / STP, IGES / IGS and DWG files inside a ZIP. Include the drawing revision and highlight critical dimensions. If your file is too large, email the team to arrange an appropriate way to share it.
Can I discuss CNC machining, EDM or precision grinding?
Yes. Describe the part geometry, material and intended function. Include tight tolerances, deep cavities, small internal radii or surface finish requirements so the team can discuss the manufacturing route and the information needed for a quote.
What if my drawing is not final yet?
Send the information currently available and clearly mark the design as preliminary. Tell us which features are still being reviewed. The team can discuss technical questions; pricing and timing need to be confirmed against an agreed drawing and scope.
Can confidentiality be arranged before sharing drawings?
Contact the team before uploading confidential files and mention your NDA requirements. Arrange and confirm confidentiality terms before sending information that requires an agreement.
How are delivery timing and inspection requirements agreed?
Include your target delivery date, required quantity and any inspection reports or acceptance criteria. Lead time and the inspection scope are reviewed with the component requirements and confirmed during the quotation discussion.
